Rettich Takes SCCA Pro Formula Enterpises Championship With Nine Win Season
Scott Rettich earned the SCCA Pro Racing Formula Enterprises Championship on Sunday after narrowly missing a season-long sweep, taking nine of ten championship races on his way to the title.
“At the beginning of the year, we were really a couple of steps ahead of them,” Rettich said of the competition. “As the year progressed, they got closer to me and closer to me. This race, they could run some laps faster than me, but I still had the stronger car in the long run. It still feels great to win the championship.”
After narrowly missing out on the title last year, “It certainly does make it sweeter,” Rettich said.
Rettich took the title with 1,307 points, topping Patrick Gallagher (1102) and Jason Wolfe (992).
