Alliance Autosport Victorious at June Sprints

Scott Rettich recently piloted the Alliance Autosport entry to victory in the Spec Racer Ford category at the prestigious SCCA June Sprints.

Heavy rains fell shortly before the start of the race making the 4.1-mile Road America circuit even more challenging. Rettich started fourth in the 47 car field, and quickly started making his move to the front, slotting into second by the end of the first lap. On lap three, he made his move, passing Jeff Beck to take the lead in turn eight. From that point on, Rettich never looked back, winning by over a seven-second margin.

“It was a great race, stated Rettich. “Alliance Autosport gave me a great car with a very good rain setup. Goodyear makes an exceptional rain tire which gave us an impressive amount of grip given the conditions, which allowed us to run some very fast lap times and nearly make it through the kink flat out. I would like to thank my entire crew including Suren, Joe, Al, Ray, and Zach for working hard all weekend. I would also like to thank my sponsors PDI Communication Systems, Springboro Car Wash, Redline Oil, and Goodyear.”

“Scott drove an incredible race,” stated Alliance Autosport Team Manager Suren Tchobanian. “We knew that if we gave Scott a good set up that he would be a serious contender. It feels really good to win the June Sprints for the second year in a row!”

Rettich is currently the SCCA Pro Racing Spec Racer Ford series point leader, the SCCA Super Sweep point leader, the SCCA Super Tour Spec category point leader, and the SCCA Great Lakes Division Spec Racer Ford point leader.
