Alliance Autosport Confirms Rettich for 2012
Reigning Formula Enterprises Series and SCCA Formula Enterprises National Champion Scott Rettich has announced that he will compete in the 2012 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, piloting the No. 71 Formula Enterprises Alliance Autosport entry in the National class.
Rettich enters the USF2000 Championship with a very strong record of success in Formula Enterprises competition with Alliance Autosport. In the last two years, he has won the Formula Enterprises SCCA National Championship twice (2010 and 2011), the SCCA Pro Racing Formula Enterprises Championship (2011), the Formula Enterprises SCCA Triple Crown (2010), and the Formula Enterprises SCCA Super Sweep (2010 and 2011). In addition, the Ohio racer has also won multiple championships in sports racers and has been competing in Grand-Am Rolex GT events.
“I am very excited to enter the USF2000 Series,” stated Scott Rettich. “The series has many great venues on the schedule, and I am really looking forward to competing at INDYCAR and ALMS events. I really enjoy racing in front of large crowds. We have a few new things to learn with the Cooper tires, but I am confident that the Alliance Autosport crew can continue to give me a winning car. I would like to thank Mazda, Dan Anderson, and SCCA Enterprises for allowing Formula Enterprises into the USF2000 National class. I would also like to thank PDI Communication Systems, Springboro Car Wash, and Red Line Oil for their continued support of my racing career.”
Rettich will once again race under the Alliance Autosport banner in 2012, a professional race team based in Columbus, Ohio. With multiple championships, including two SCCA National Championships and three SCCA Pro Racing championships, the team has found success at both the club and professional levels. Currently the team is competing in SCCA Club Racing, USF2000, and Grand-Am Rolex Series events.
The 2012 edition of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda gets underway on March 15-16, in conjunction with the 60th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida.
